Quintessentially New York

With all our travelling around and being home for the holidays we haven't had much of a chance to explore the city as we usually do. Last night however, we kept up our Friday night tradition - but with a twist.  For the holidays my husband received two tickets to Dizzy's Jazz Club at the Lincoln Centre and last night we went and had a fantastic time.  We had tickets to the 9:30 seating and were given a table front and centre, and lucky us because Jimmy Owens: The Monk Project was playing and they were superb.

The room is interesting with acoustic wood panelling creating these beautiful horizontal waves along the back wall and around the sides of the room. The backdrop to the stage is a panoramic view over Columbus circle and Central Park (facing East) - AMAZING!  We had a great time and highly recommend this evening out to anyone. Has anyone else been?

  1. Thank you for stopping by my blog Miss Anna!

Just to let you know it was your 'office' post that gave me the final nudge to write about my apartment. Not exactly a polished space, but it's home!

    have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Looks like an amazing place! I am glad that you got to check it out!
