Furniture Fridays

Hi everyone and welcome to Furniture Fridays.  I cannot believe it is the end of another week already! Today I am so very happy to have Jessie from Sweet Thing with us to share her favorite piece of furniture.  For those of you who don't know Jessie, she is an inspiring photographer, graphic designer and blogger and always has interesting and beautiful posts for her readers to see and read.  I am always sure to be inspired by Jessie's blog and hope you will all head over and have a peak.

The Butterfly Chair
As soon as Anna asked me to be part of this series I knew which piece of furniture I would choose. The butterfly chair aka BKF chair has been a favorite of mine since my high-school days. The first furniture purchase I ever made was a faux leopard butterfly chair that accompanied me to boarding school. Perhaps for sentimental reasons I purchased one last year with a beautiful cognac leather cover. When people come over, they are always surprised by how truly comfortable the chair is to sit in. I love the modern, sculptural design and the undeniably laid back feeling it gives to a space. I was shocked to discover it was designed all the way back in 1938 by the Austral Group in Argentina. It goes to show that great design never goes out of style.

  1. There's a reason that some chairs are just classics! This one has such beautiful lines and bonus that it is comfortable too.

I never tire of this one.
