I have been following the work of Brandon Barré for a few years now and since I haven’t featured the work of a photographer for a little while I thought that this would be the perfect time. Barré is a Toronto based photographer working in Architectural, Interior and Design photography in Toronto, New York, Montreal and Vancouver to name a few. While it is true that he photographs some stunning interiors (see image of grey bathroom below!!), his eye for capturing the perfect shot is amazing. The details and colours that come to life are the true sign of a talented architectural photographer. Even though I am experiencing each space through an image, I have the real sense that I am in the space - I can feel the space, hear the sounds and touch the fabrics. I encourage everyone to stop by and have a look at his portfolio, and the next time you need an interior (or food, YUM!) shot, you know who to call!

I have been "collecting" links to food and interiors photographers that I find inspiring and here is one more to add to the list. Funny how just a subtle shift in perspective or angle or crop makes all the difference in the world. So simple yet so challenging to achieve.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. And what I find is amazing is that so many people think that it is easy to take photos like these (especially photos of interiors) but it isn't. It takes looking at the work of a true professional to see that - as you say - it's all in the subtle shifts in perspective! It's like looking at a great piece of art.
